Experienced digital executive Nic Cola joins Mizzen Group board as Chairman
Sydney, Australia, 12 February 2021 - Mizzen Group, builds next generation yield management software for shipping lines powering their digital transformation, is pleased to announce that Nic Cola has joined the board as Chairman.
Director Glenn Butcher said “We are thrilled to announce Nic’s appointment to the board as Chairman, he has decades of digital commercial and C-suite experience with Fairfax Media [now owned by Nine Entertainment Company], Open Colleges online and is currently the CEO of Australia's largest Cruise wholesaler, Cruiseco. He strengthens Mizzen’s digital commercialisation experience as Mizzen’s Plimsoll solution is adopted by the shipping industry.”

Mr Cola brings with him a wealth of knowledge of digital transformation, commercial and strategic experience including roles as COO for Fairfax Digital and CEO of the print and digital marketplace businesses. Over his career he has been involved in M&A worth over $450m including Nursing College for Open Colleges and RSVP, Stayz and Investsmart for Fairfax Media.
Mr Cola is the Director of Satinay Partners, a consultancy for the travel, digital media and recruitment sectors. He is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors Course and a non-executive director of Choice, a leading consumer advocacy group in Australia, and Chairman of Picaluna, an innovative funeral services provider. He qualified as a CPA and started his career in Finance at Diageo and Fairfax.
Mr Cola will step into the role of Chairman while Glenn Butcher will remain active on the Mizzen board as a Director.
